Alanna Stapleton is an illustrator and semi-professional breakfast enthusiast from Wisconsin. Currently located in Minneapolis, Alanna is a 2nd year MFA candidate at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Alanna explores personal narratives and the role of women in society through the subversion of traditionally feminine craft, narrative storytelling, and a little bit of humor. She enjoys creating with a variety of mediums: from watercolor and gouache to fabric and embroidery, often focusing on themes of memory, documentation, nostalgia, and everyday occurrences.
Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators NY and been shown at Gowanus Print Lab and Light Grey Art Lab, among others.
Alanna's interests include but are not limited to: Parks and Recreation, sitting in coffee shops, thinking about horses, and finding a way to travel and draw forever.
Let's work together!
